Hello! I am Alex Barr. I recently graduated from North Carolina State University with my BA in Psychology as well as a Theatre minor. I have been a part of the theatrical world since I was four years old, and immediately became obsessed with every aspect of the process it takes to put on a show. If you can think of an aspect of a show I have probably done it in some way, shape, or form.

Directing:

Directing is my most recent and greatest passion. It combines everything I love about the production process and allows me to highlight the work of a ton of incredible people that help make the show come together which is one of my favorite parts.

Acting:

Acting was my introduction to theatre and how I came to exist. My parents met acting in a production of South Pacific and instilled their love of performance in me as well. I have acted in over 20 shows across my acting career.

Technical Work:

I worked in the NCSU Stewart Theater staff for 5 years as a stage hand, sound and light board operator/designer, and finally a stage manager for many groups that would come through and rent our space. I have also worked as a volunteer costume hand and had a hand in building and striking quite a few sets.
